| John Gerrard The catalog is published on the occasion of the first solo exhibition in Spain, to be held in Ivorypress Space Art + Books I from 7 February to April 4, 2011. This publication is the first monograph on John Gerrard and includes a selection of his work that allows for a tour of his creative universe. His pieces portray architectural landscapes that are reflected as "isolated and enigmatic structures whose interiors remain hidden, as described by Robin Mackay. Their creations show real places, "whose surface is captured by Gerrard in thousands of digital photographs, which later are used for a thorough virtual reconstruction. The publication includes Ed Keller texts (designer, university professor, writer, musician and multimedia artist), Yoani Sánchez (writer), philosophers and Reza Negarestani Robin Mackay and an in-depth interview with Simon Groom (Director of The Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art, Edinburgh). |
